Stress isn’t only in your head. It lives in your nervous system.

The racing mind at 2am, the short fuse by dinnertime, the tiredness that sleep doesn’t fix — these are often signs of a nervous system that has been switched on for too long. Left there, it quietly shapes our sleep, digestion, mood, immunity and relationships.

This workshop explains, in plain language, how the nervous system responds to stress and why learning to regulate it is one of the most important things we can do for our overall health. Then we put it into practice, with simple, evidence-informed tools you can use at home, at work, or in the middle of a hard moment.

At the heart of every workshop is one simple principle: we need to recognise before we can regulate. Before any tool can help, we have to notice what our body is telling us — the clenched jaw, the shallow breath, the urge to snap or shut down — and name the state we’re in. Once we can recognise it, we can begin to change it.

Each evening is held for one group — mothers, young adults, or fathers — so the conversation can speak to the pressures that are genuinely yours.

Lived before taught — every workshop is led from Sandra’s own practice of regulating through burnout and midlife change, not just from training.

What each workshop holds

Recognise

How the nervous system moves between stress and rest, and how to notice the signs of your own state — because we recognise before we regulate.

Regulate

Breath, movement and grounding techniques that help the body shift out of stress — simple enough to use anywhere.

Feel it

A guided, restful practice to close the evening, so you leave having felt regulation in your body, not just heard about it.

About Sandra

For years, Sandra chased physical perfection through relentless gym workouts, running and restrictive diets. Then came the era of burnout and a fatigue that rest couldn’t touch — and it was there that she found her answers.

“After years of searching for solutions outside myself, I discovered that all the wisdom and remedies were already within my body. My nervous system simply needed to be reset, regulated and revived.”

Today, Sandra brings together three decades of education as a personal trainer, fitness and yoga instructor, meditation and intuition teacher, along with her current studies in neuroscience. Woven with her own lived experience, this now shapes how she teaches and guides others to manage their thoughts, moods and decision-making — for better health and a fuller, steadier life.
